Our Mission
Founded in 2017, Amavi Chorale is dedicated to creating meaningful musical experiences by giving first rate performances of the finest choral literature.
As artists, educators, and advocates of the choral art, Amavi Chorale aspires to reach audiences of all ages, backgrounds and socio-economic circumstances.
The name Amavi (lat. I loved) illustrates how we are motivated by our love for music, people, and all things beautiful. Amavi is a family made up of singers dedicated to creating experiences through music that lift, edify, enlighten, and connect individuals and communities to each other and to the Divine, regardless of religious affiliation or theological belief .
Beautiful music is a universal language of love and healing that Amavi is dedicated to nourish.
Our Vision
Amavi Chorale aspires to fulfill its mission and contribute to an already rich choral tradition along the Utah Wasatch Front by:
- Singing the finest choral repertoire with vigorous attention to the finest musicianship, intonation, and expression to enable quality music that has increased power to lift, edify and enlighten those who listen.
- Collaborating with local and national artists, youth programs, schools, and community organizations to build bridges, lift & inspire, and strengthen our community.
- Providing a space for creativity and artistic outlet for our singers, staff, and audiences of all ages, religious/theological backgrounds, and socio-economic circumstances.
